Thank you very much Mark - 3 bracketed shots at 1.5 stops or so. RAWs dropped into Photomatix batch blender. Then resulting HDR file tone mapped by local artisans in Luminance.

On behalf of management I wish to apologize to any damage or injury caused by boat rocking. Please have your lawyer call my lawyer.

If I remember right Tammo it do come that night but we didn't get it. We sat outside and watched it from below. Our place is at 3,000 feet and these moon-tins are at 6,00 feet so attract all sorts of rubbish (like us).

Many thanks chaps - Jethro

Nice and moody one, Jethro. That's one of my fav views. We should go up it sometime.

Wow, what a shot!

Is this the Cold Mountain of book fame? One of Jean's classmates wrote the book:)

Thank you Kevin - I appreciate your comment and the suggestion. Have you been there.... it is as grand a mountain as and has views comparable to Mount Rogers!

Lets discuss at the next North Carolina committee meeting.

It might be Joy the book is imprecise and NC has several Cold Mountains - so no one knows for sure (but my guess is, it is).

I love the clouds, don't you.

Many thanks y'all - Jethro

Sure do...guess I was not specific enough in my awe...doesn't happen too often:)

Looks like we will see more and varied views of this mountain in the future!
