Насколько я помню (если не ошибаюсь), это здание помогали пректировать в свое время наши архитекторы из ГУЗа (с архитект. фак-та Государственного университета по землеустройству, раньше-МИИЗ назывался). Я, правда, на землеустроительном факультете училась, но видела на стенде архфака чертеж этого здания и какое-то описание, из которого я поняла, что наши тоже участвовали в его разработке

Micha, many thanks. This is a building for administration of Russian Academy of Sciences. Its President works in another building - and old palace. At first the architectors wanted to make at the top the sun batteries for the electricity should be produced there for this complex. They worked in the beginning, and now they are only a decoration.
