Nu gluži kā aklai vistai grauds tas nebija. Zināju par muižiņu (gan ne tik sakoptu) un paspiegoju uz kartes pirms braukšanas :D

Brauciet droši - man tikko saplīsa fotoaparāts :(

Nice to see that classy manor in such a good condition! I wonder how it looked like in, hm... "ol' times". Are you having any photo from the archives, to be linked to!?

Laima Gūtmane(simka) on January 23, 2008

I have only one link - Maras manor in 2004

GP-ZG on January 24, 2008

Yes!!! That's how I expected!

Now it will "only" take some time to revert to "the genuine spirit" of it! Yesterday, seeing it, I wondered if the front veranda could be the cozy center of social life in gentle afternoon and evening hours... to see now that it, once, actually was !

Thanks.

One more... question please: I wonder if the "roofing style" (roofing "tiles") applied here is typical (or traditional...) for, let's say, Baltic Region!?

Laima Gūtmane(simka) on February 6, 2008

To GP-ZG Thats true, tiles are characteristic in Baltic states, because the source material was simply obtainable. Our history has strong ties with Germany. To put it simple, the roofs were made from tiles made, then they were transported to, for example, Germany wrapped in tissue-papers. Sadly, but these days new materials are used, which visually resemble the originals. Kuldiga is a candidate to be a UNESCO protected city. That is why there is much attention payed to roofs. Glad, that these tiles seemed so important for you to ask me.

Tik vienkarsi un izteiksmigi. Kurzemes stils. Silvestrs, ar Ziemassvetku sveicieniem. Lietuva

Laima Gūtmane(simka) on December 26, 2009

To silvestras.

Labvakar, esmu tulkotajs, man pieder daudzi latviešu literatūras tulkojumi... Bet filmu laikam paradisim ari Kuldigaa. Jo Cesis jau paradijam fragmentu. Silvestrs

Laima Gūtmane(simka) on December 29, 2009

Sveicināti! Pateicoties savām labākajām draudzenēm Google un Wikipedia, par jūsu tulkojumiem biju jau uzzinājusi ;)

Vai Kuldīgai plānojat rādīt gatavu filmu, vai arī fragmentus?
