Canefields: "Bush Farms", Avondale, Queensland

Selected for Google Maps and Google Earth

The three canefarms (foreground, middle distance and background) are now operated as one canefarming enterprise by Bush Farms, owned by Allan and Dianne Bush. The farms are irrigated from the Kolan River Irrigation scheme, the Kolan River being the southern perimeter of the farm, in the background forest belt.

When world sugar prices are low, Bush Farms included the production of peanuts in their operation, but currently the entire operation is devoted to cane farming.

Hi my dear Ian, I have not been on Pano. Because I had a majör operation. By-pass! Thanks God every single day i get better. I had send you a private message about this subject. I guess you didn't get it.

Sometimes a pomegranate rolls to an unknown place. It may be a hospital.

But now,I came back. Hi life ! Hi my dearest friend! I love the lonely tree and wonderful background.

With love. Fü

Greetings, Berend. The sugar growing areas are always attractive. I like this countryside, too.

Hello, dear Fü**. The lonely tree was once a forest giant, but now without life it is a stark reminder of what it was once and what the landscape was like then. It is so big, that it and its shadow can be seen on Google Earth! Now cattle graze and sugar is cultivated where the forests once clothed the landscape.

Thank you for your sharing, confiding and message. I have not been able to access Panoramio very much lately. I will respond in full.

I am pleased that you are back and able to enjoy my gallery and I yours. Thank you sincerely.
