The Bicton flea market has been a popular Sunday morning attraction for over two decades. It's located in the car park of the Melville Plaza shopping centre, about a one minute walk from my home. Some regular sellers take up their favorite positions early Saturday evening, but most arrive in the dark just before dawn. Early birds get the best bargains. By midday the car park is empty. The junk fest is overseen by Rotary volunteers. They collect $8 per parking bay from sellers and use the money for worthy causes. Entry is free for buyers.
