Stonehenge Fisheye View June 2000

Selected for Google Maps and Google Earth

Shot within the very center (centre) of the henge with the exclusive permission of the English Heritage Society, I was able to capture the layout as it remains today.

If you get the opportunity to get in amongst the stones it is quite amazing to see the period graffiti. Is it graffiti, vandalism, or something else when it is dated in the 13th century??? Perhaps now it is history.

Sadly, Panoramio does not appear to favor circular fisheye images, vis-a-vis Google Earth. Thus, other circular fisheye images of mine are not cross-posted on Google Earth. Fortunately here they made an exception!

Новый взгляд на исторические сооружения. Станьте частью земли и посмотрите в небо и вам откроются тайны зашифрованы в монументах.

Panoramio is more than a hobby to me, It became a part of my life! This may sound dramatic, but thats the way it is... I hope that there is a way to keep Panoramio alife otherwise it would be a big loss, to mw and to the world!
