Ontario Place 1971- 2011, Eb Zeidler (Architect) - closed after 40 years

Selected for Google Maps and Google Earth

Ontario Place was an 93 acre waterfront park in Toronto. Attractions including Cinesphere (the world’s first permanent IMAX cinema, now in 3D) - a waterpark with a sand beach and a pool right at the water’s edge overlooking Lake Ontario. Not too many structures from 1970's are still called moden and futuristic in 2012!

Ontario Place closed its doors in fall 2011. Losing millions of $$$ the last few years with declining attendance. Its future is still to be decided.
