Here is a story attached, we were driving towards Grömitz and there was a detour because of roadworks, so we drove a small countryroad until we saw this great sea of turnip with windmills behind. Stopped at the edge of the road just inside a little village and went over the ditch to capture this wonderful scenery.
when we returned to our car an older man was beside it .. so at first I thought he was not amused that we went over the ditch .. and a little into to tracks of the field, .. but he told us he never saw Danish people around in his area... so I told him we were not Danish but Dutch ! :)) we spoke for a little while about lots of things (in German) than he said : "Ich hatte noch nie so ein nettes Gespräch mit einem so hübschen Holländerin" ... .. very charming man ;))... I thanked him for the lovely compliment and we spoke a little more about the region. The field belonged to his son who was named the same name as this man himself (and coïncidently also my dad has this name ..) he was born and raised there and now a retired farmer, think we made his day ... meeting and talking to foreigners :)) and he can tell about it to his family and friends.
