In this olive grove of dusky light
My heart sails out in this world so bright
The soft pinks of poppies to me are a treat
Making this image for you quite complete.
ps -view full screen for maximum indulgence!
What a delicate and soft view:)) Like

_Well maybe a retzina or two and some olives and cheese, a bit of greek bread and haloomi- maybe a beer, some pickled peppers and salad and a coffee to end-
just a moment please, I have to go o o O OOOOOO!
Delightful scene! Like. best wishes, Andy
Beautiful shot! Really like the mood of it. Just curious - what gives it the "gauzy" texture - almost like looking through screen or something? Effect, or just lucky?
Ewa. Steve, Mike, Andy and Herman, great to see you all here again admiring this latest photo in comments and prose. This was the view from my apartment (just beyond the path), in the morning. (The exif is two hours slow here). The low coming sun seemed to be indeed very soft through these olive tree leaves and long grasses onto the just opened poppies. My aim was to try to capture that what I saw. HDR was the answer, Herman!
Best wishes to you all and thanks for the awards too, Herb
Wonderful scene, i like the beauty of the olivetrees and lovely poppy meadow!
Best wishes, Annelies
Oh My! this is what it's all about, when I saw this image or shall I say a painting, (because it reminds me so), I melted, this is dream photography, Herb in landscape, the shadows of dapple shade brings this to life, and the poppies are the finishing touch for me, this is beautiful work, Ys and like5.
Sonja, Annelise great to see you both again, liking this fresh olive pasture scene. Thanks for your trip and comments.
Karen, I do not get too many visits from you nowadays, and I can quite understand why with your many photographic finterest and successes, as I have the same problem albeit without the successes! Your comment here, spoken from your heart, gives me untold pleasure. You inspire me to carry on looking for, and creating this kind of scene. One that, I could live with for some time. The nice thing is, as I knelt here to take this shot, it really did set my heart on fire too. Special thanks for the awards.
Best wishes to you all, Herb
Very beautiful countryside, excellent photo!
Best wishes, Tamás
Perfect capture of the Mediterranean dreamy mood. Paint me a picture that tells more than a thousand words and takes me on a journey to where beauty lives. Unspoiled, unknown and recently undiscovered. YSL
Best wishes, Erik
Tamás, nice to see you again. Very happy that you like this one.
Erik, your presence and comments always bring a smile to my face It seems that you see this scene akin to Karen and myself. This grove belonged to and was very close to our apartments but fortunately the owners had left it like this -looking perfectly natural. Each of our six mornings we ate breakfast, on our little veranda, and saw this dappled soft light. Must be something to do with the fine olive tree leaves? The opened poppies are a sheer bonus.
Best wishes to you both, Herb
May be it is the same olive tree and poppies? for me it is also very sweet memories of my time in Greece. Thank you, Herb, for them. Greetings from cold Sankt-Petersburg, Irina
Irena, many thanks for this visit to your own Olive trees and poppies. Very happy you arrived here and this also bring back pleasant memories for you. (I some others in my gallery of this same trip to Skiathos).
Regards from a cold Oldham (-2C), Herb
