Not selected for Google Earth after a second review [?] - ID: 72472072
Our most common squirrel on the Olympic Peninsula is the Douglas squirrel (Tamiasciurus douglasii). They are often heard in forests chattering vociferously at intruders. Another squirrel found in these forests is the Northern flying squirrel (Glaucomys sabrinus) which is genetically distinct from others in North America. It is not often seen as it is nocturnal.

How nice of the squirrel to pose in such a picturesque location. Love that moss! (Well, I guess I should give you credit for taking such a well-composed photo.)

Thank you very much Marilyn. These little squirrels are fun to watch. They rarely stay still long enough to take a photo. Best regards, Larry
