Lovely shot, Mathew. The lensbaby makes an out of focus pattern that reminds me of macro work. It's intriguing to look at. I've walked through those very doors; my wife is from just west of Brum and I'm horrified of the crowds every time we visit.

Thanks! I'm just starting to get used to the Lensbaby, I love the way the focus makes everything look like a model. Considering Sunday was cold and wet, I was surprised at how busy the centre of the city was.

Thanks Rosina. Hard to believe it's 'just' a shop...

what brand to you suggest for the lensbaby, thanks matthew, love the effect we have Australia day coming up wonder how the fire works will look:)

Hi Rosina. I use the Lensbaby 3G, although if you are unlikely to do anything that needs repeatability (I you won't lock the focus) then an original or LB2 may be OK. Have a look at Lensbabies web site for local distributors - I know Amazon in the UK also sell them.

Interesting Matthew, For some reason this reminded me of Adam Welber's work. Have you seen his stuff?

Thanks for the link Don - I can see why you sent me there :)

This looks like a set from Men in Black! What a wonderful angle!

Thanks Kathy. It certainly does look like a movie set - it will be interesting to see how the building is viewed in 10 or 15 years time. My favourite part of the whole site is the Krispy Kreme concession in the ground floor!

Gee, I'd love to see that! I once photographed a wedding at which the grooms cake was made entirely of KK donuts!
