Fort Montgomery ruins, Rouses Point New York on Lake Champlain

The ruins are often incorrectly referred to as Fort "Blunder". The "Blunder" name is a reference to an earlier fortification built in 1816 on the same site. Fort Montgomery was largely demolished for fill to construct the bridge between New York and Vermont in 1936/37.
