You got me! Well although I was born in Wuxi I could not tell where this KFC is located! It is a shame though! The reason is because I was in Xi'an as a uni student for 4 years and then had been staying in Australia in the next 4 years! I could barely recognise any building in my hometown now!!!!

Hi John (new user name?). I may have gotten you twice! Because if you can't tell where it is, how do you know it is Wuxi at all and not a nearby city?! :-) I remember that it was in or near the center of the city on a pedestrian mall. Australia sounds like a great place to be, BTW. I wish I could visit again. -- Joe

Errr, the reason why I said it was definitely Wuxi is because I thought YOU SAID IT WAS TAKEN IN WUXI, lol! I wasn't aware that you did not know where you'd taken this photo. I thought you were just confused about the city's name (about which many Americans probably are). Well it is not a big case anyway. I am flying back China again in two months and I will update you with the newest Wuxi city photos...

By the way if you can send nearby photos to me I could probably recognize some nearby buildings and Chinese characters on the building and tell you straight away where this photo was taken... synyan[at]hotmail.com

In my personal opinion if this photo was taken in Wuxi it is most likely near the Chengzhong Shopping Mall area. The area is the only Pedestrian area in Wuxi.

Ha! So funny! It's true, though, that sometimes I mis-spell names so I don't deny it. And even before your next message I was going to ask if you would check out other locations of my photos while you are in China, not only Wuxi! Thanks for the offer, too. I'll look through my photos of the trip and if there are any good ones, I'll post them and otherwise send them to you by email. Joe

I looked in my files and found only two more photos, so I am going to just post them. (If for any reason you'd still like them in email too, just let me know.) I think the first ("Still more . . ." may have a recognizable building. I also see that earlier this same day we had been to the big Buddha, to Tai (?, here is for spelling) Lake, and a movie set! The next day we went to a garden. I also see under the tag "Wuxi" that some people have put both the Buddha and the garden there, so it must be close.
