Ruins of Hellenic Theatre

When we first visited Cyprus we never suspected that the theatre existed, I've roamed about on the rock chambers many times never imagining what was under my feet, it's only in the last few years that it has been excavated..there must be an amazing collection of archaeology yet to be discovered and I would like to see it all, just look at those wonderful mosaics near the harbour for example..keep digging! Grum...

Thanks for your comment, Grum. Yes, I agree that those ruins around Nea Paphos are astonishing. I would have liked to spend more time there to see it all but the day was hot and the kids were complaining all the way...

Hi Petteri, I suppose that eventually all the area's of Paphos will be excavated, I just hope that we are around for many more years to come so that we may see it all, I am particularly impressed by the large round mosaic which is situated on the site near the harbour, I have never seen anything like it in my life.
