This brought back more memories than you can imagine. My father was a NYC fireman attached to this firehouse for years. We lived at the top of Schofield St. on the other side of City Island Ave. I often went to the firehouse to have dinner with my father.

I also attended St. Mary's Star of the Sea Catholic School, was baptized there and vividly remember Monsignor Nylan.
