Mary Alice....good evening. Two stories. My father was the only teacher and principal , in the one room schoolhouse at Sunnyside and Hiway 36, I believe , somewhere in that vicinity, in the early nineteenthirties,.. and , if you return to Pickard Road, and come just east of the old gas pump and store,..you will find a house remarkably like this one, that is pale green, now,...and served as the one room schoolhouse for the Pickard community. My mother attended it , in the early 1920's. There were several of these communities,,Crest being on of them.

Good evening to you, Cleboy!
I was out of town for the weekend, so I'm sorry that I'm just getting back to you on this.
I am completely unaware of where there was an old school on the intersection of Sunnyside and Highway36, but I sure would like to know more. Is it still standing anywhere? That makes me very curious indeed.
The other schoolhouse is occupied by the woman that was involved in that horrible accident out there on Pickard road. She and her husband bought it not too long ago. She actually used to work at the office where I still work a few years back. She has since left and gone elsewhere. The house ( old schoolhouse) is just delightful inside. I had actually looked at buying it before she got it, but it needed too much work.
Thank you again for your knowledge! Pass on anything else that you want! I am all ears! :)
Greetings,
Mary Alice
