O grupo representa uma figura feminina no dorso de cavalo sobre onda estilizada, em que o cavalo com cauda de peixe, interage numa atitude vigorosa com a ninfa / figura feminina que apresenta o braço direito levantado, tal como as patas dianteiras do cavalo, conferindo movimento e dinamismo ao grupo. A peça possui uma linguagem claramente moderna não abandonando, no entanto, um certo academismo e formalismo, característico do conjunto de esculturas colocadas no parque Eduardo VII após a intervenção do Arquitecto Keil do Amaral iniciada em 1945.
