My, what a lot of ice! Good thing someone put this odd chain-link-fence-like contraption here for all the ice to grow on. I wonder what it gets used for during the summer...

It was foggy the night before and in the morning everything was covered in frost! I couldn't help but go out for some pictures.

Ryan, did you see the map? ;) This odd chain-link-fence-like contraption is put to good use during the summer as well.

Ryan Calhoun on January 28, 2008

I did see the map. Yep, it's extremely fortunate, and entirely unexpected, that this ice-growing device can double as a chain link fence in the summer. :)

Chain link fence! A rather tall one, maybe. It's a backstop!

Ryan Calhoun on January 28, 2008

I zoomed in on the map all the way, and it looked like the marker was pointing to a long line that ran between the backstop and the sidewalk. I didn't know this was the backstop itself, though now that you tell me, I can see the shadow for this fence is very tall (almost backstop height). :)

I don't know what that black line would be, because there's no fence beside the walkway there. But there might have been one, because the satellite photos here aren't recent at all.

Nice, we don't see that kind of thing much in Texas lol...
