King Textiles (Est. in 1991) in downtowns Fashion District is Toronto's retail and wholesale fabric store. If you are looking to make your own wedding dress, this may be the place..
I have seen the subtle signs for King Textiles and the advertising in this neighbourhood and returned few times to take photos. This time light was more favorable, and no cars obstructing the view. This may be the last time as I get to take photos. The building is being demolished to make room for - you guessed it - condominium!
The King Textiles is not on King Street as one may expect, but a block north on Richmond St. At one time, you could by your pants and skirt direct from the factories in the area (I did), now 95% of the clothing business is gone, killed by cheap imports .....
