Information:
Das Galeriegebäude wurde 1694-1700 zu einem zweistöckigen verputzten Fachwerkmassivbau mit Mansarddach erbaut. Es erhielt einen Festsaal mit Musikempore, der für Bälle, Theatervorstellungen und andere Veranstaltungen des Kurfürsten von Braunschweig-Lüneburg dienen sollte. Der Große Garten zählt zu den bedeutendsten Barockgärten in Europa.
