Ashbridges Sewage Plant Pump house 1971 (Also known as "Dentures")

Selected for Google Maps and Google Earth

This unique building was erected in 1971 as a pumping station for the Ashbridges Bay wastewater treatment plant.

Recently renovated, but any farther use of the green space was put on hold as the soil is contaminated with heavy metals. City does not have enough money to clean up the soil, and anyway, there is plenty of parkland in this area.

I photographed this building before, but after major rainfall - first one in 3 weeks - the puddle made this image more attractive and added interest.
