Though commonly known as Coastal Deer locally, they are Columbian black-tailed deer (Odocoileus hemionus columbianus). What a treat to look up from watering plants and see two young deer in the garden. Rather than them shying away, they came closer, so I pulled the iPhone (camera) out of my pocket and got a few shots, slowly walked over to where we keep the peanuts for the Jays, threw a few to them - munch munch yum. Thank you so much, Erik - it was magical - I'm still smiling! They are always in the area - elk as well, though the elk stay more to the east side of town. What wonders have you seen lately? Hoping all is well (O:

Seen quite a few 'wonders' on my tip to Cornwall (England). I was impressed by the crumbling cliffs of Doverthe beauty of the sleeping Mud Maid and deeply touched by the private concert of the European Robin.

Hope everything is well with you too?

Warm wishes, Erik
