The Giants Head-Lost Gardens of Heligan

The Giants Head-Lost Gardens of Heligan

Hidden within the Woodland walk one can stumble upon 'The Giant's Head' made by Sue and Pete Hill in 1998.

The head is build around an enormous tree root, remaining exposed after the great storm in 1990, that was to big to bury and too hard to burn.

The skin is planted with Mind Your Own Business (Soleirolia soleirolii) the spikey hair is made of an orange flowering Montbretia (Crocosmia spp.). The eyes are made of chips of china and glass found on site in the Bottle dump.
