Hi Jethro I think this type of graffiti is an eyesore, but the miscreants who are responsible are blessed with just enough grey cells to walk and talk - not necessarily at the same time.

Actually the explanation here is quite simple.

The spoon is of normal teaspoon size that one might find in any cutlery drawer.

But Linda, in all innocence, found a little bottle on it with the words ‘Drink me’ printed on the label.

Thinking it was a bottle of Black Sheep, she did as she was told - as always! ;-)

HA HA, just a huge spoon in the middle of nowhere ...LOVE

We have a spoon this large in Minneapolis, but it contains a giant cherry instead of Linda. The Panoramio tag "spoon" will bring up several photos of it.

Thanks Rafael and Austin. This spoon can only be seen after quite a long walk along a path and is not sign posted. My finding it was fortuitous as although I knew it existed, I had no idea which path it was on. I refuse to make jokes about lost cherries!
