Actually yes! The locals catch fish and as they in the good old days sometimes catched more than could be consumed the same day they invented methodes to preserve the fish by drying it. Such drying of fish sometimes fails and some fermentation is then also ongoing.
This results in a smelly delicasy named "sigin fisk". The taste is like gorgonzola or similar and you may love it or hate it!
The smell is of course very interesting for the flies, so what to do? Simple, flies are not exactly good svimmers and will stay away from the floating house!
