Kula-torony / Tower Kula

The neighborhood is covered with bushy swamplands. There is only one natural passage between the swamplands. The important toll-bas was built here before 1330. The tower likely was built for the guards of the passage. In other suppositions this squarish little fortress with thick walls was built later under Turkish domination. The name "Kula" comes from Turkish language and its meaning is "watchtower".
