Looking South Along the Beachfront

Selected for Google Maps and Google Earth

Took this one at the water's edge at Bay Colony Drive (47th Street). The nearest buildings are part of the Cavalier Hotel complex (42th Street); next is the new Sheraton underconstruction (with the crane at 35th Street); and the Hilton (Laskin Road [31st Street]). The beach from the Cavalier to the Wyndham (55th Street) is residential, but there are no dunes; instead there is a 6 foot (2 m.) seawall between the beach and the beachfront residences. Again there is beachfront access every block.

Hola Mark

¡Excelente descripción del lugar! Preciosa serie de fotos en la playa de Virginia Beach. Es una enorme pena que no se tenga acceso a la playa en la zona de edificios.Debe de haber una zona de acceso libre. Like 1 y favorite 1

Saludos cordiales desde Argentina, Chaydeé.

Hi Chaydeé,

There is public access to the beach every block at the end of the streets; you just can't cut across peoples yard's. I think you are also a beach person like myself.

Thanks & Best, Mark
