I'm a huge fan of the side of the building advertising. It looks similar to advertising on a building around here. "Modern Heat"?

Haha, Chet that is funny isn't it - I guess they meant as opposed to a wood stove. ; ) I saw a picture at the County building today of another old hotel that advertised "Hot & Cold Water" on the painted sign. What an innovation! Claudio and Henk, thanks very much to both of you - so nice to have your L&F! : )

By the way, these old brick hotels were mostly populated by loggers and mill workers who came here during the timber boom years, and needed a place to stay until they found permanent lodging. I suppose there would have been several sharing a room, since they probably could not afford one on their own.
