Greetings Hamzars, The spring is really neat. Bacteria gives the orange and yellow colors. Minerals make the water the beautiful blue color. The pool is so big I could not get it all in one shot. When we went by this a few weeks ago, the steam was tremendous.
Marvelous photo, but Did you know that the Yellowstone Park is a volcano type caldera or basin? Bacteria and minerals gives the color of the water, really this place is a soup of bacteria, but marvelous for us. Cheers, Paty.
Greetings Paty, Thanks for visiting and commenting. You have really studied up and know your material on Yellowstone. Very good for you. We are aware of Yellowstone being a volcano that is overdue for eruption. We also know that we live right on the line where you can live or die if the next eruption takes place. If Yellowstone goes, Denver probably goes with it. I try and let you know how we do when the eruption takes place.
many many compliments for all
this looks very surreal. I notice the hillside looks a little meagre. What happened to the trees? An interesting image, thank you for sharing! Best wishes, susan
Greetings Eva and Susan, Welcome to my prehistoric land in Yellowstone. A place mixed with beautiful colors and vulcan odors. I think there may have been a fire in the area (maybe the most recent one everybody remembers) and that is why there are all the dead trees lying on the ground. But they hillside is growing back very nicely. I will take pictures from there again this fall.
Fantastic photo, beautiful colours, interesting scenery. LIKE!!! Cheers, Alexandra & Karl-Heinz
The shot from the hillside in the distance is wonderful on a very hot day when there is no steam. Cheers, Rich
