HONORABLE MENTION (4TH PLACE) 2013 AUGUST CFP CONTEST.
This is the scene at Neptune Park as Hurricane Irene comes ashore at about 2PM on a day in August, 2010. The wind is between 50 and 60 mph (85 - 100 kph) and is blowing almost directly from the east. Although it was pouring rain, the air was also filled with water vapor like being in a cloud of mist. I hope the photo captures that feeling. To get the shot, I parked my with the driver's side to windward; rolled down the leeward window; and, quickly, before the lense was too fogged by the vapor, took my photo.
