Thanks for your history comments to me and others.I really enjoy them.Somehow I do not trust "history" vision about events because History is always written by winners while loosers only have oral transmission. In the spanish schools our Civil war is only mentioned by dates. It started 1936 and ended 3 years later but it never mentions what happened and why. I believe more in Literature. thnks again.
Just what you have said is why I like history, for my involvement has been to tell the story form the many different viewpoints of the ordinary people... including those who suffered, those who were oppressed or even those who were on the "edges" of the history.
I have found that even in the same family, or marriage, the different people see and experience things and events differently. For example, women experience war, peacemaking and peacebuilding differently from men. In this is a richness, as well as the potential for doing things better, such as the ending of war, or the creating of peace, or even the early prediction of possible conflict.
I do not know much about Spanish history at all, but through you and Panoramio I will gradually learn more.
(And I hope you also like my little bits of poetry that I write from time to tome such as the verse above that was written for Eva.)

The imagery induces wonder,
the breeze caresses the heart,
the sound of the surf becalms the mind,
the rhythm of the pandanus' sway resonates with the spirit of life.
For you, Eva.
