This is a shot I took after a heavy rainfall in the Cape Breton Highlands. It shows the high outflow of the Black Brook and also the nearby waterfall exiting from Still Brook to the edge of the Black Brook beach. A popular swimming and picnic site during the summer months, the sand washes away from the beach in the fall and winter. Note the heavy turbulence (following the storm) at the juncture of the rip-tide and the outlow from the brooks. Also pictured is the tons
