Roy Hargrove at TJF Main Stage in June, 2012

Roy Hargrove, (born 1969) offered Toronto a bit disappointing show; (he is usually reliable performer). For my ears, his RH Factor group was way too laud to produce anything listenable. Roy's mind was somewhere else. He would disappear in the back stage for periods of time. His solos were very good, effortless, but hiding behind the sunglasses was a bored musician.

are you going to the Jazz fest this year by chance?

Tomros on July 6, 2014

Augee, I could not answer you about the jazz fest as I was busy with Jazz fest. I was driving again this year the musicians and seen quite a few concerts.

I have some photos, but I upload these on ALL ABOUT JAZZ web site.

Hi Tom, not to worry! My wife and I just attended one fantastic night (June 26) at Nathan Phillips square! Cheers,

Tomros on July 7, 2014

I was there that night! Dave Holland, Kevin Eubanks and John Scofield.

I took Dave Holland to the airport the next day.

& i asked a guy with a Lumix on Tripod if his name was Tom, but it wasn't...

Tomros on July 9, 2014

I very seldom use tripod. This year, I did actually had a media pass to photograph, but it did not change much to get access! I got however into Horseshoe free.

Congrats to that Gallery, Tom! - For me it's so rare to get some good live music that I don't want to distract myself with a camera... (:-))

Did I say that I found Kevin's guitar in too loud in the mix that night?

Tomros on July 9, 2014

I guess he is used to the spot light from the Jay Leno days.

Maybe he demands front seat and big volume.

made me think rather than buying the PRISM album, just dig out the absolutely incredibly great EXTENSIONS album from 1990.....

glad you liked it, I have a hard time keeping up with two galleries...
