Interesting how the snow only holds on to the branches up to a certain height, then above that the whole hilltop is green. This is quite a nice piece of countryside, May!

Greetings, Ryan

The reason for the green hilltop was the sun rising higher. When I drove into the valley I was so happy to see this beautiful scenery. There wasn't a possibility to park the car, so I drove down to this quiet place. But I really had to hurry, because as the sun got stronger, the hoar frost melted fast.

Greetings, May

A really beautiful setting, May! The frosted trees are so pretty! :)

You seem to have a whole PILE of photos on stock May, cause you can go on and on and on uploading ... but still come up with new amazing photos. This counts for the two (new)with the white trees as well. Glad I'm not using a fountain-pen. It would run dry very soon.

Happy greetings, Mogens, Stormy Denmark.(PT)

Beautiful, May, with those touches of colour. A magical scene! I'm so glad that our hotel in Quebec has wireless internet so I could enjoy it. (Lots of snow here, but skies are grey.) Best wishes, Marilyn

9°C in Ludwigsburg right now, sun is shining. Schöne Landschaft, könnte auch im Schwarzwald irgendwo sein - weckt Gefühle der Erinnerung!! Gruß zu den Emmen und Tälern.:-)

A wonderful picture May, the colour in the roof of the barn makes a great contrast to the frost on the trees.

DeEtte, Foxx, Nicolas, Mogens, Marilyn, Ian and Mike, thank you all very much indeed for your beautiful comments! Nicolas, many of my bw-photos are done by the camera without editing programs. I often make two pictures, one in bw and one in c and sometimes I am not sure, which I should use for panoramio. In this one and the bridge over the creek, I knew, that only a coloured picture would do them justice, here beacuse of the red roof as Ian noticed too. Mogens, I DO have piles of photos, therefore I will start to put the photos of Ireland and all the places abroad on an other site. I am grateful for your comments and hope the letters don't get off the keys on your board as do mine ;-) I have to guess where the a, s, y and c are. ;-) Marilyn, so nice, that you can communicate from your hotel. I wish you a save return. We got a lot of snow last night as well. Mike and evrywhere you can get Spaetzli. :-)

My dear greetings to you all, May

Mit besten Grüssen, May

Hi May. I've been away from the computer for a few days so I'm sorry to be late with my congrats on this shot. It's great when a white on white winter shot get's dressed up with a splash of color.

May M. B. (Swissmay) on February 5, 2008

Pascal, oui, tu as raison, c'est pour ça, que je reste souvent ouvert pour la moitié de la nuit. Merci pour ta visite! :-) Amitiés, May

Ntinos and Hank, thank you very much for your nice comments! Oh Hank, it's me that is sorry, because I often let people wait so long till I answer and surely I have even missed some. - Thank you for your comment, it's what I thought too, that this is really a colour photo, with all this sunny white snow. :-)

Greetings, May
