The house is in RoseMary beach and owned by a family by the name of Hilton, no not Paris... It's been under construction for 7 years. I should know, I built it.
Thank you very much for your comment and for the little story. I like the way the house is in harmony with its environment. 7 years?...
Yes, 7 years Charles Hilton has been trying to get his house finished. I have been taking photos of it for 6 of those years. His sister is Patricia Tolbert who owns the Ramada Inn Resort in Ft. Walton Beach. Hopefully someday we'll see it finished. The designer was an apprentice to Frank Lloyd Wright...Mr. Hilton told me that much when I met him on the site one day. This house is solid concrete.
we have wondered over the last several years who was building this. We could see the progress from our bike rides down to the east end of 30A. Mystery solved! The house is beautiful. A refreshing change to all the beach houses. I always hoped it would show up on some HGTV program some day!
is he single?
this picture is a bit misleading. The house dominates the skyline from 30A. It has at least 40,000 square feet of space under roof. It has been under construction since 1999 and is still not nearly complete as of last weekend. They have have begun construction on new sections while the main mass of the structure is still under construction. Yes it is made out of concrete however there are literally acres of glass! June 2009.
The house next door, belongs to the McCrays of graceville fl, unless they have sold it in the last two years.
I saw a very similar home, still under construction, overlooking the beach just south of Bodega Bay in CA. Does anyone know if it's the same architect, by chance?
Simply love the home. I have been watching the construction from conception. So different,so unique,so breathtaking.
ive seen this house and was also told that michael jordan lived next door.. me being the cold hearted bastard that i am, i pissed on his door handle. technically if it is his house, he has touched my piss.
