Thanks a lot Ada Beerthuizen, this is one of my most successful pics on Panoramio, the memory of a wonderful day in Rome!

The (NEW) suggestion:

WHY DON'T WE BUY PANORAMIO FROM GOOGLE???

Has anyone thought about buying out Panoramio from Google?

After all those are our pictures, what about a proposal to buy based on a fixed cost for each account based on the number of photos? Or anything similar to this?

The main problem I would see with this is that we would need a board of people who set up a company, perhaps a charity which can enjoy some public funding, after all photos are art, and then each one of us buys his/her own account from Google?

Any similar ideas before Panoramio will disappear?
