Well done Sam, great lighting and textures. Deserves to be framed and hung in a gallery. Certainly a favourite. Regards Derek

A wonderful scene Sam, the light and composition are spot on. It's very painterly - I see a picture here that reminds me of one our greatest painters...Constable ! One of my favourites from you. Regards Stuart

Its all coming together again mate, this is a BD!! nice work Sam;-)

The vaguaries of Panoramio are ever present and there will never it seems be any parity to this selection process. There seems to be no way other than asking for a second review to challenge their decisions so now it seems I have to either accept it as is or delete and try again without the very subtle shadow. What pisses me off most is that the site contains endless examples where such things were blatantly overlooked...

Rant over I would like to say a huge thank you to you all for the lovely comments on this, it always was one I was proud of but even more so now having read all the above.

best wishes, Sam

Well said Ian, i can't believe it after seeing those examples.

Neil Grimwood on July 9, 2012

Aye, it should be Ian,especially as the others aren't a patch on this one.

Glad you went to Kettewell, Sam!! This is a masterpiece!! So very very beautiful! L8 F6. Keep up the good work wishes, Bruce.

Neil & Ian, I'm not letting it bother me, I chose to add a border which we all know is a risky choice and in these latest cases it was a risk that didn't pay off. Since it would mean deleting and losing comments I am happy to letit slide just now and will probably add a borderless version in the future when I have nought else to add.I appreciate your concern all the same, thank you.

Yorkshire Sam on July 10, 2012

I'm always glad to go to Kettlewell Bruce but yes on this visit I was extremely happy to find and come away with this. Oh I'll try :o)

Cheers !

Hello Sam. I have always believed that beer and photography are much the same - there is no such thing as a perfection in either but we keep up the pursuit in hopes that we can find something pleasing. I think you may have proven me wrong with this photo, though. Absolutely brilliant work, Sam. Kindest regards, JT.

Yorkshire Sam on July 12, 2012

As with both examples it helps to have good ingredients JT and Yorkshire has those for me in abundance, especially with places like this . Many thanks !

kind regards, Sam :O)
