hey, Michael Bilodeau ... as an "old" East Coast railfan, I had to gold-star this shot as a favorite ... and I guess I'm going to Google WT&J to find out some info ... y'all have a good day, Wally

Thank you Wally, I've never heard of that company before either, I was out driving thru south-central Oklahoma last weekend and found this thing. You can tell this locomotive hasn't moved in a while, the tracks are all rusted. Michael :)

hello, Michael ... according to Wikipedia, "WT&J" is Wichita, Tillman and Jackson Railroad, named for the counties it runs through ... a viable (for now?) 21st century shortline, generally from Wichita Falls TX to Altus OK with recently acquired trackage to Burkburnett TX. Coincidentally, for a short time in the 1980's I worked for a delivery company based just west of there; it was all pretty destitute and desolate ... some cattle, but miles of salted-out and fried cotton fields waiting for rain. Keep your camera with you ... Wally

This is a magic photo. This photo induces a certain atmosphere.

Of course, I LIKE it.

See you soon… Best regards from Grasse, in France.

Thanks for sharing the lovely photo of Temple, Oklahoma. Haven't lived there for nearly 50 years, but it still looks very much the same as it did in the 1960s. Ahh, memories of the old hometown:)
