I can see where you'd say that it looks creepy, but it's not really. I just wish that I could have seen it in it's day long ago. I bet it was magnificent. Can't you just imagine?

Thank you so much for your interest in my photographs.

Hi MaryAlice.. Just found your site and I love it. The pics are great and I especially like the GoogleEarth views. I, too, live in Georgia (near McDonough) so I am familiar with many of the sites you have photographed. Keep up the great work...I'm saving you in my "favs" and will be back!! Spacey

Spacey Jay:

Are you really "Spacey?" =)

It's so nice to hear from you this evening.

Thank you for your visit to this old trestle. It's always fun to talk to people that are actually familiar with some of the places that I am posting.

I go to McDonough all the time. There is a mexican place there that I LOVE! They have MOST excellent Salsa!

I'm so happy that you like my photos, and thank you very kindly for your nice words.

Please don't hesitate to stop by again anytime, and enjoy your weekend!

Best regards from Yatesville,

Mary Alice

MaryAlice, I love your pictures! I am originally from the north Florida area but now live in North Carolina and they make me cry from homesickness. Keep up the great work!

T*Swiggy, thank you so much for visiting my gallery! I am so excited that you've enjoyed my photographs! Thank you for your enthusiasm! I hate that I'm making you feel homesick though. North Carolina and Florida are both so beautiful! I hope you will post up some photos of your own soon! Thanks you again for visiting, and for your very kind words. :) My best to you from Georgia, Mary Alice

Hello Mary Alice, Could you tell where the trestle is located? We looked for it on Saturday and came up empty. was it over Potato Creek? I really enjoy your eye. Thanks Stag

MaryAlice on November 20, 2012

Stag, I mapped it as close to where it is as possible. ( without being able to actually see through the trees from overhead, of course.) You just have to follow the remains of the track, and it's easy to see. Believe me, you'll know when you come up on it. You will go through quite a tunnel almost before reaching it. The banks are very high on both sides. Yes, it crosses Potato creek. Happy hunting! This time of year is perfect too! The leaves have fallen, and you will be able to see everything so much clearer. Keep me posted! It is a magnificent old trestle, and still full of so much character! I can't wait for you to see it. :) Thanks so much for your kind words!
Best regards, Mary Alice
