It sure has, Timo.

This part of the road was in daily use until the new road and tunnel was opened in 2009. I've been driving on this old road several times, but then, of course it was continuously maintained and cleaned.

I have been 2X aboard an own car in Norway. There are these a lot of tunnels in your country...The ones which I have driven they have been in considerably better order.

What you see here is the reason why these old tunnels were closed and there was built a new one.

Parents who had to send their children with the school bus simply refused to send their children to school on the old road, because of the danger of falling rocks and ice at spring thaw. There was an incident once with an icicle piercing the roof of a bus, but fortunately no one was injured on that occasion.
