What a lovely flower! Do you know its name? Greetings, May

Ian Stehbens on February 2, 2008

Dear May,

"With their distinctive flowers and diversity of colours and forms, Anigozanthos or kangaroo paws are among the most rewarding Australian plants. They grow from an underground rhizome and produce beautiful flowers on long stems mainly during spring and summer. They're a fabulous bird-attracting plant, drought tolerant as well, and they're an icon of the native garden."

I have some other colours in my earlier pages in my folio. Use tag: Anigozanthos

They are colourful and distinctive. It is a great ark we live on, Palmina. Looking forward to your images from next weekend's drive.

Dear Robyn.

I am delighted that you have had a little time just to enjoy my photography, especially when the kangaroo paws are blooming.
