Merci Maurice. I too would have liked to see some of these bigger ships under sail, but the anchorage is on a lee shore and the passages through the Bridge-Tunnel are very busy with much traffic; many of which are huge ships. There is no time for sail in these waters today; remember in the fall of 1781 it took the French fleet of DeGrasse a whole day to form up and pass out to meet the British in the Battle of the Capes. Since I do not have a photo of a tall ship under sail, maybe you will like this one of the Sedov.
