Bryce Canyon Rim Trail

Selected for Google Maps and Google Earth

View original, sized vertically for the web

The rim of Bryce Canyon erodes a foot or two per century, which is pretty darn fast if you are a tree. This was taken from the trail that runs along the rim between Sunrise Point and Sunset Point, the latter of which is visible (full size version) in the distance on the right, just to the left of the trunk. On the far left is Sinking Ship.

Fantastic photo of tree and canyon. Your description really puts into perspective the struggles of the trees on the rim.
