Hello Julie,

Thank you so much.

I have a panoramic of this image that shows Mt Washington to the left and the sunlit clouds flowing off to the right. But I can't seem to get the stiching to line up right.

Hopefully I'll find a way to get it up.

Love these colors you've captured so well Michael. The other Mt. Jefferson sunset shot is vey nice as well. Actually like the cropping in that one a little better as far as clipping the dark silhoutte of the foreground. This is not as dramatic as the other but I really like the blues in this one and the way the more subtle reds go with them.

Great work and keep shooting, Tom

The Clouds actually traveled from the Mountain, right over the top of me and THIS IS HOW IT LOOKED BEHIND ME

  • now that is really beautiful... how come the sky is wider in the mountains...
  • btw if you flip it verticaly it looks like gentle waves on sea shore...
© Michael Hatten htt… on March 26, 2008

The sky appears wider because Mt Jefferson on the horizon is about 75 miles away. and the clouds that you see are not rising up above that mountain but instead they are running from beyond Mt Jefferson and come toward me over my head. They are streached out over 75 miles.

The Camera does interesting things to perspective making the sky appear flat but it is not..

Thanks for the compliments!..
