I hesitated to upload these few pictures taken in Spain 30 years ago. But still in my heart is the joy that was ours to explore Catalunya, and that seems sufficient justification. How dare an old tourist from years ago upload onto a Panoramio site! Well I can only hope the Spaniards in our network are kind and forgiving, if the pics are not up to today's standards.

I did fall in love with Spain in 1978, and that love hasn't melted away.

Any help with verifying my mapping will be appreciated.

Thanks for the posting. that year i was no living in my homeland spain, so now i can imagine how it was. time always passes, but sometimes it is people who don´t catch up with it.

gondor, am I right in assuming you live in the south of Spain? I was hoping that to have some one who knows the area near Lleida/Lerida correct the location for me. I do want it correct.

You say you weren't living in Spain in 1978. Were you out of the country or was that before you were born?

Catalunya is just so photogenic. It was so special that it was overwhelmed me with joy. I loved all those essentials in landscape appreciation: majesty, colour, artistic quality and atmosphere!

In 1978 I was four!! It was a long, long time ago :-)

Yes Rafal, it was a long time ago, even for me: I am amazed that it is now 30 years ago.

Then my first children were 7 and 5, and they still remember so much of that marvellous year, and they recognize how it shaped them into people who can relate and love to relate to people in many different cultures.
