What a wonderful catch, Rich!

Greetings Billy and Marilyn, Thanks so much for visiting and commenting. It was very safe standing next to the thermal feature. The walk way is designed to keep you safe. The breeze was moving the steam and fumes away so it didn't smell and the lens stayed dry. Catching a bubble burst was the same as trying to catch a drip. The paintpots are pretty neat to watch.

Greetings Inessa, I stood there for 5 minutes while the tour wandered away and tried to get the mud splashing up when the bubble burst. It was a challenge and I never caught the best burps.
