I love this photo, Xenia! I took one just like this a while ago but didn't post it because I didn't like the way the red stone colors turned out. But you captured the curves and shadows just right, here, and the stone is a nice gray color.

Super, die klaren Bogenlinien der Treppe!

I absolutely love it. Great geometry.

Thank you Ryan and Inessa! :) Stairs like this are everywhere, mostly unnoticed, and I sat down there waiting for Carsten when I saw the nice line and wanted to make a photo, but the original was boring so I cropped it a lot (I'll put in the original later). Unfortunately it's in a very bad resolution, because it was a low-qualitiy-scan (808 pixel) of an analog picture, and so this version is very grainy. But I should say that this is of course PURE INTENT! I used the grainy structure as an artistic instrument to underline the simple, pure form and lines and...the grey-in-grey was a synonym for the colorlessness of modern urban cities...with a few leafes, lonely and lost on the concrete... ;)

Cheers, Xenia

PS: I really put the photo in my gallery because of the nice colors and great geometry.

PPS: To my modern-city-blah: this photo was shot in Germany's oldest town Trier. :)

Toller Standpunkt und Ausschnitt, Xenia! Fine, that Carsten let you wait! ;-) Ich mag deine Sichtweise der Dinge sehr!

Gruss, May

Hallo May, vielen Dank! :)

Schöne Grüße, Xenia
