I've been trying to get good shots of fireworks at every opportunity (not very often) and a longer exposure is best (I think this one is 1/20) so you can get the lines of the explosion. For these shots I also used a tripod because with the long exposure you usually end up with a blurred/shaky shot. But to be honest I took around 60 shots of these fireworks, and as you can see, only a few were any good. Hope that helped you out though and good luck with future firework photography!
