Fortress in Smederevo

Smederevo fortress is the symbol of the Serbian capital of the fifteenth century and it is the biggest lowland fortress in Europe. It is situated at estuary of the river Jezevo in the river Dunav. Covers an area of approximately 11 acres in the form of improper triangle made up of 25 towers with outer walls. The components of the fortress are the Big and Small Town.
