I had to dig myself out of the house many times in England, but never in snow this deep!
Lovely shot, hope you had your snow shoes on!
Thanks, Palmina. The area was first settled in the 17th century, and our tour's guide showed us that some old houses were, like this, built low to the ground. The settlers soon discovered the problem that you see here!! Then the wiser settlers started constructing them up a bit, approached by stairs.
The door to this building, now a bake shop, was around the corner to the right so at least it did not have the extra bank from the snowplough to contend with.
good foto !!
Thank you, brezzinka, and greetings from Canada.
